Our survey showed that runners are discovering communities across different parts of Metro Manila. Some popular spots and experiences mentioned include Ayala Triangle, MOA, UP Manila, and car-free running areas.
But there’s no single “perfect” running spot. For many runners, convenience matters just as much as the route itself. Busy schedules, distance, and location were some of the biggest reasons respondents found it difficult to join runs consistently.
The takeaway? A great running community is one that you can actually get to and keep coming back to!
MEET THE RUNNING COMMUNITIES
While there’s no one “perfect” running spot, convenience matters. Distance, location, and busy schedules can affect how often people join.
The best community? One that’s accessible, welcoming, and easy to come back to!
Here are some communities our respondents mentioned:
There’s so much more, such as Ayala Triangle Runners • ASICS Running Club • Run Rio Community Runs • WeKenRun • Not a Run Club • Easy Matcha Run • Banana Run Club • Run With Pat
Different names, different vibes, different runners— but many respondents highlighted the same thing they loved most: the people!
Friendships, encouragement, new routes, training together, random conversations, and post-run coffee.Sometimes, you join because you want to run— and stay because you found people you genuinely enjoy being around.
You don’t have to keep up with everyone. You just have to keep moving!
Whether you’re chasing a new personal best, trying something new, or simply looking for people to run with, there’s a community out there for you.
So pick a spot, lace up, and just show up. You never know where or who the next run might lead you to!
